How does the comparison work?
Line by line, using the same longest-common-subsequence approach as programmer diff tools: unchanged lines stay plain, removed lines show in red with a −, added lines in green with a +.
Can I compare two documents?
Paste the text of each into the two boxes. For Word documents, copy the text out first (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C in the document). Up to ~2,000 lines per side.
Is my text uploaded to compare?
No — the comparison runs entirely in your browser, which makes this safe for contracts, drafts, and anything else you wouldn't paste into a random website.
